History of Weddingsmith

This company was a long time coming and now it's a dream come true. I can't remember a time that I wasn't wedding obsessed, as my family and friends would call it. It seems like planning has always been second nature to me and for that reason I was always their "go-to gal" for any event, large or small. My first memory of taking a planner type position in a wedding goes back to Junior High when my mom was a bridesmaid in her co-workers wedding and we helped with the design and set up. That's the day I made my decision to make this a career, well before I needed a career. Since then I have been a part of numerous weddings in a variety of positions; from venue representative, to bartender, to catering assistant, to full service planner. From these experiences, I have learned to plan an event from every angle to ensure that no detail is overlooked.

Rebecca D. Smith • Weddingsmith Coordinator

It is my goal to make sure that you and your family are able to enjoy your event, worry free. I prefer to take time to get to know brides and grooms personally through face-to-face meetings, so that I can come to understand your vision and can then approach things in a way that you would approach them yourself. I pride myself on being available to my brides, grooms, and/or their families at any given time. You never know when inspiration will strike or a question will arise, and I think it's important to be able to communicate those right away. We will work together to ensure that your event is a true reflection of you and yours.
